more about my work:

All people are unique and have the capacity for alignment with their true and best selves. Using mindfulness, somatic, experiential and integrative techniques, I will encourage collaborative exploration of the barriers that prevent you from thriving. From here, we can find opportunities for something new.

Experiential therapy utilizes the present experience. I facilitate a process that allows individuals reconnect to strengths, cultivate internal resources, and begin to challenge the negative patterns that can create blocks to fulfillment. This requires careful examination of the minutia and the subtleties of the present moment. This is your chance to slow things down and focus on what is true for you, and what you would like to be different.

It is also important to know when to pan out; to use a wider lens for appreciating the big picture. This includes consideration of one's social location, the impact of societal expectations, spiritual influences and existential curiosities, creative expression, nutrition and exercise and the multitude of family relationships that shape who we are. I believe intersectionality and harms caused by systems of oppression cannot be separate or ignored in this work. I continue to educate myself on these aspects of the human experience and am aware that blind spots can exist.

I consider all of my work to be relational. This means I value our relationship, honor the space we share and consider it a priority that you get the care that you need. I pay attention to underlying connection and issues related to love, needs, and attachment. I support integration of body, mind, and spirit and encourage an active process of self-discovery and empowerment.

I strive to create a safe environment for clients where we can co-construct a path toward health, greater satisfaction and wholeness.

In my practice, all walks of life are welcome...

The Hakomi Method uses a blend of mindfulness and somatic-centered techniques to create an experiential psychotherapy that embraces current neurobiology research, attachment theory, and other holistic approaches to mental and spiritual healing. Hakomi is highly effective with a wide range of populations. The method draws from general systems theory and modern body-centered therapies and espouses core concepts of gentleness, nonviolence, compassion, and mindfulness evolved from Buddhism and Taoism.

use of recreation of the self (r-cs)

R-CS encompasses the principles and techniques of Hakomi but focuses more on shifting to strength-based states of consciousness. R-CS helps individuals locate their "...Ideal Self: the sense of whole and mature individuality that each of us is born to pursue. The Ideal Self is marked by such qualities as expansiveness, inclusiveness, compassion, curiosity, empowerment, various inner resources and experiential structures and aliveness." R-CS is a homeopathic dose of the self-love that we all posses and deserve.
